A plurality of Americans believe the level of immigration into the US should be decreased, according to a new Gallup poll — the first time the survey has shown that in eight years.
The poll found that 38% of Americans want less immigration, while 27% said they want more. Another 31% said they want immigration to remain at its current level.
The last time more Americans wanted immigration reduced was in 2014, when 41% held that opinion, 33% said they wanted present levels maintained, and just 22% said they wanted immigration levels increased.

Go to the park in this sorry city of ours and you see lots of immigrants. Then people who are from here wonder what the h&ll they are doing here.
Did the immigrants bother to do a few minutes of research before traveling thousands of miles to live in this dumpster fire? Were they suicidal, couldn’t pull the trigger themselves and decided to relocate to a place someone would do it for them?
They should have stayed home.
A dozen years ago, we walked into our Whataburger only to exit quickly and never gone back. The place was packed with illegals and they all gave us hateful looks.
A dozen years before that, we happened to stop at a convenience store, in Temple, TX not knowing it was a Greyhound or something bus stop. A bus pulled in and half of Mexico fell out. Yeah, more hateful looks that it was their stop.
Immigration can be good depending on who you let in. Right now, it’s very bad for the country and us. They’re letting in anyone and everyone, regardless of their criminal background, skill set, and how they arrived.
Canada can be choosy about who can stay, but noooo, the US has to take everyone... JFC.
If we let in anti-Communist immigrants with talent and means to take care of themselves without government intervention, we’d see a net positive.
