I was chatting with the black retired air force sergeant who lives across from one of my rentals. He told me that when blacks stopped and asked him about it he told them it was rented. I was shocked and looked it. He followed up with, blacks in this neighborhood renting at your rate are using or dealing drugs. I almost laughed as it sounded like the most racist thing I’d heard in a long time. I certainly couldn’t have said the same thing without being sent to cancel jail.
