Once upon a time, my son expressed that he liked my daughter’s sparkly shoes or dress. I said, “Well, we’ll see if they have boys clothes like that, but you shouldn’t be too upset if they don’t because usually only girls where that sort of thing and you are a boy and always will be. Nothing can change that. Why? Because that’s the way God intends things to be and that’s why He made you a boy and your sister a girl.

And he never brought it up again.

Yes, as little as 10 years ago, if a kid said something like this, the parents would explain the difference between boys and girls and how that is how we were born, and then they would go “oh, okay!” and go back to playing with their toys.

Now, crazy people here a kid say that and say “oh, really?” and immediately begin the “transition.”
