KYIV, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Amnesty International apologised on Sunday for "distress and anger" caused by a report accusing Ukraine of endangering civilians which infuriated President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and triggered the resignation of its Kyiv office head.

"While we fully stand by our findings, we regret the pain caused."
God forbid anyone even slightly admonish the nazi army and i’s Kiev government.
Not to mention the distress and pain of the children used as human shields.
Amnesty regrets reporting truth that’s offensive to war mongering libtards

See the toxic org’s exploits at link
Regardkess to whether Amnesty is a full nut job org, and they are, we have the issue of facts on the ground and hard evidence of War Crimes violations.
Those facts are devastating to the consensus for continued material/weapons support for Ukraine. It starts a whole new bleed on the left that will continuously weaken suppllrt from that political sphere.
And THAT sphere encompasses all of European NATO. And the leanings of current office holders in the US.
The consensus for Ukraine is shattered.
Fire on the left, fire on the nationalist right. No bedrock in between.
Those upset over their findings are upset about the narratives concerning Elensky (letter Z has been banned) and Ukraine being exposed as lies.
Why is nobody talking about bringing an end to this nonsense in Ukraine?
I live in Texas. We are being invaded by millions of illegal aliens. We sent 4000 to Washington DC and they freaked out. A couple dozed to NYC and the same. Things are not good here, folks.
I could care less about Zelensky.
State-run DW leaves alot to be desired.
“Why is nobody talking about bringing an end to this nonsense in Ukraine?”
Even the “give peace a chance” liberals have gone full bloodthirsty neocon re: Ukraine. A symptom of having no principles and going with how you feel in the moment.
Amnesty is a Russian Propaganda Arm. Putin’s Propaganda Puppets set up to trash Brave Ukraine Freedom Fighters as they battle Godless Soviets! Neo-Stalinist Putin would slaughter all freedom loving Ukrainians and put them to work as slaves, in coal and salt mines. Once they finish at Ukraine, they will roll into the Baltics and Poland. These poor defenseless nations will once again fall under their vile rule. If we do not stop Putin there he will be in San Francisco and New York by Christmas. In New York, Trump will greet the victorious Putin with a handshake, and sign a new Treaty with the Commuist Block. Da Comrade! Count on it.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. LOL
Why not let the secessionist states of Luhansk, Donetsk, and Crimea do what they want to do?
You promise?
“Thou shalt not take Zelensky’s name in vain”
There are no Nazis in Ukraine. You’re welcome.
I have. But to no avail.

You are such an optimist. You know that they aren’t war crimes if the American deep state supports the war they were committed in. That may change in some circumstances (eg, there’s a Republican president who can be hurt by calling them war crimes.)
So, for example, if Donald Trump is elected in 2024 and there is a war then everything done by Americans will turn out to be a war crime.
Along with NATO encroaching on its borders Russia got fed up with this crap as well and decided enough was enough.

For years, Ukraine was recognized as one of the most, if not “the” most, corrupt nation in Europe. It held on to that reputation all the way up to the day Russia invaded, at which point media worldwide suddenly started rewriting history.
Whitewashing Ukraine’s Corruption and Authoritarianism
As noted by Ted Galen Carpenter, a senior fellow for defense and foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute, in a sober and clear-eyed article, published in April 2022:1
“Statements from U.S. and other Western officials, as well as pervasive accounts in the news media, have created a stunningly misleading image of Ukraine. There has been a concerted effort to portray the country not only as a victim of brutal Russian aggression, but as a plucky and noble bulwark of freedom and democracy ...
The promoters of that narrative contend that the ongoing war is not just a quarrel between Russia and Ukraine over Kiev’s ambitions to join NATO and Moscow’s territorial claims in Crimea and the Donbas. No, they insist — the war is part of a global struggle between democracy and authoritarianism ...
The notion that Ukraine was such an appealing democratic model in Eastern Europe that the country’s mere existence terrified Putin may be a comforting myth to U.S. politicians and pundits, but it is a myth. Ukraine is far from being a democratic-capitalist model ...
The reality is murkier and troubling: Ukraine has long been one of the more corrupt countries in the international system ... Ukraine’s track record of protecting democracy and civil liberties is not much better than its performance on corruption. In Freedom House’s 2022 report,2 Ukraine is listed in the ‘partly free’ category, with a score of 61 out of a possible 100 ...
Even before the war erupted, there were ugly examples of authoritarianism in Ukraine’s political governance ... The neo-Nazi Azov Battalion was an integral part of President Petro Poroshenko’s military and security apparatus, and it has retained that role during Zelensky’s presidency ...
[O]ne can condemn Putin’s actions and even cheer on Ukraine’s military resistance without fostering a false image of Ukraine’s political system. The country is not a symbol of freedom and liberal democracy, and the war is not an existential struggle between democracy and authoritarianism. At best, Ukraine is a corrupt, quasi-democratic entity with troubling repressive policies.
Given that sobering reality, calls for Americans to ‘stand with Ukraine’ are misplaced. Preserving Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity most certainly are not worth the United States risking war with a nuclear-armed Russia.”
