In Florida, we have to water our grass or HOA will get ya. The thing is our grass sucks. At Augustine basically as weed. I suppose it looks good when it’s green completely but it’s difficult in 90+ degree days seven months out of the year. I hate the rock look some have gone too. But I hate me water bill. Such a dilemma. Lol.
St. Augustine grass is the name. Stupid phone change it to at.

Back in the old days, doctors would tell people with severe allergies to move out to Arizona (or presumably Nevada) where there wasn’t much grass. Those days are over.
My dad worked with Wernher von Braun (the rocket scientist). Once he came home after a social visit to Von Braun’s home and reported that the good doctor had torn out all of the landscaping and concreted it over. Then he painted everything green.
I always wondered if you just dug up all the grass around the 100’ x 100’ houses and put down astro-turf, would that suffice the HOA’s?
