Kosovo’s interior minister said on Saturday it has arrested a Russian journalist at the border on suspicion that she could be a spy, and security authorities were searching “for her intentions.” The country’s interior minister Xhelal Svecla named the journalist as Daria Aslamova. “Many countries have proven that she was engaged in espionage for Russian military intelligence and that she pretended to be a journalist,” Svecla said in press statement. Reuters could not verify Svecla’s accusations.

Well, Russia said Kosovo is an illegitimate country and Russia doesn’t recognize it as independent. Kosovo could simply deny her entry on the basis that Kosovo does not recognize her as a legitimate journalist. Or they can deny her entry just out of spite. They don’t have to give a reason; they can just say, “Nyet!”
