It worked for the Soviet Union in “winning over” its own people. It worked for the British in South Africa, and for the Spanish in Cuba,

For how long?
The Soviet Union is no more. The British got defeated in South Africa by the Boers and Castro ended Batista’s rule in Cuba.
America was in Afghanistan for over 20 years and still got kicked out by a bunch of Taliban savages. No amount of US genocide would have beaten the Taliban. They are worse savages than we are and pretty good at genocide if it comes to that.

The expert explained that the Russian Army’s logistic support system requires centralized trains, which is due to the “palletized” type of logistics. This makes warehouses excellent targets for high-precision HIMARS and M777s, he noted.

Note: Russia does not use palletized logistics - its all done by hand. It takes 15 guys to load or unload 1 truck. Unloaded stuff is placed in random piles in haphazard fashion. People sort through the piles to find what they need and then pile that stuff on trucks to be unloaded in the same manner and fashion. Now, military trucks are in short supply and civilian trucks are being used.

Russian logistics are late 19th-early 20th century.

Administration to announce another billion dollars in Military support to the Ukraine on Monday (within a week of the last announcement for another half billion dollars worth). I have heard the terms “HIMARS” and “long range” mentioned.

Although numbers are not announced, I saw one analyst who estimated that the Ukraine might be getting as much as 10,000 rockets for the HIMARS by year’s end.

That would leave a mark.

“”””Ukraine hasnt joined any alliance.
Any exercises with western military was AFTER Russia stirred up fake rebellion in the east and invaded and seized Ukrainian territory of Crimea.
And the bulk of “billions of military aid” didnt happen until Russia invaded in Feb.””””

Not to mention Europe and European wars, World Wars, 100s of thousands of American deaths and tens of millions of allies’ deaths, death camps, world-class navies, constant global threats, world instability and threats of nuclear wars, world trade, etc, etc, etc, and now the biggest European war since WWII involving a long term enemy which also has the world’s largest nuclear weapons inventory and the ability and the will to end the United States and western civilization, a war in which the enemy is trying to rebuild the evil empire, etc., etc.

These efforts to compare our and the world’s interest in European wars and affairs and Russian European invasions, with the world’s and European non-interest in our part of the world, Mexico, Canada, and the U.S., is just ridiculous and silly.

I've loaded my share of 155 shells and at roughly 95 pounds per shell, I sometimes think of female soldiers dealing with the routine activities of soldiering, all day long, day in, day out.

Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson:

https://sonar21.com/there-is-no-fixing-stupid-when-it-comes-to-ukraine/

There is not one area in Ukraine where the Ukraine army has pushed the Russians out of territory they have occupied and held it against Russian counter attacks. Not one. The Russian feint towards Kiev in early March does not count. Western propaganda insists this was a tremendous Ukrainian victory. But Russia used that operation to fix Ukrainian forces around Kiev so that the Russian, Donetsk and Luhansk forces could mass for the offensive to retake the Donbas. And that is exactly what the Special Military Operation has been doing over the last five months.

The only “offense” we are seeing from Ukraine is the shelling of civilians in the Donbas. This does highlight one shortcoming of the Russian SMO–the lack of effective, comprehensive counter battery fire. It is worth noting that the areas being targeted by Ukraine are in the Western part of the Donbas occupied by Russia and its allied Republics (i.e., Donetsk and Luhansk). Killing a few civilians in cities in the Donbas with indiscriminate shelling–while horrific for the families who loose loved ones–does not win the war for Ukraine. In fact, it reinforces its image as a lawless violator of human rights. Still, it is up to Russia to put in place the necessary intelligence platforms required to quickly identify the source of the fires and destroy them.

Ukrainian artillery and HIMMARS will not stop Russia’s allied offensive and force a retreat. Neither will it force a stalemate. Russia has defacto air supremacy and has intact tank battalions and a plethora of artillery and missiles that it continues to rain down on Ukrainian forces.

The British won in South Africa. The reconcentration policy was used to put down the guerilla war (stage 2 of the Boer War). South Africa was a loyal colony in WW1 and WW2 and remained part of the Imperial economic system into the 1970s.

A military strategy like reconcentration is meant to solve an immediate problem, like a guerilla war, in a particular place, not solve all problems of governance and economics forever for an empire.

“Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson”
He is best known for spreading a hoax in 2008 that Republican operatives had a videotape of Michelle Obama complaining about “whitey”.

Nah, think I’ll pass on this ‘expert.’

The former CIA analyst who helped launch the claim that the U.K. spied on Donald Trump is a longtime critic of U.S. intelligence and defender of Russia.

...He frequently appears on Russian state media to reject American intelligence conclusions, including the consensus that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help Trump. And he infuriated Democrats in 2008 when he peddled a conspiracy theory about Michelle Obama, though he now says he was “used” by the Hillary Clinton campaign in that episode.

Larry Johnson, a former CIA analyst and blogger, acknowledges he was one of the sources for Fox News commentator Andrew Napolitano’s claim — later repeated by the White House — that British intelligence services spied on Trump during the election. The U.K. has rejected the claim, and the White House has appeared to distance itself from the specific accusation, putting the onus on Fox News.

“That was a statement made by a very talented lawyer on Fox,” Trump said at a news conference on Friday. “And so you shouldn’t be talking to me. You should be talking to Fox.”

Fox News stated unequivocally on Friday that it did not have evidence Trump had been surveilled.

The claim’s path from a onetime CIA analyst to the Trump White House follows a pattern seen throughout the first months of the Trump administration. The White House relied on a conservative media report that rested on people who appear to have drawn their information from other second-hand or third-hand sources who are not identified. Even as the White House has railed against the use of anonymous sources by the media, it ignited an international incident by giving presidential credence to the unsubstantiated Fox News report.

Johnson, a key source for the report that was roundly denied by U.K. and U.S. officials, told POLITICO on Saturday that he received his initial tip from a Democrat who is not in the intelligence community but has ties there. “He was alarmed at what he saw as this meddling in the election,” Johnson said, declining to cite the individual involved.
11_Donald_Trump_103_gty_1160.jpg

He called his original source someone “with a history of having access to national security information.”

He then said he confirmed the tip with two people in the intelligence community. “We’re not talking janitors and cleaning ladies,” he said.

Johnson asserts the British intelligence services passed along information on Trump and his associates to the CIA and “did not go through proper channels.” He said he is speaking out because he fears figures in the intelligence community are seeking to undermine Trump. “This is a threat to our democracy,” he said.

Johnson was revealed as one of Napolitano’s sources after the Fox commentator, when pressed about his claim, asked Johnson to speak with The New York Times.

Johnson gained widespread attention as a blogger who spread false rumors that Michelle Obama had been taped using a slur against white people during the 2008 presidential campaign, though he now says Clinton operatives took advantage of him and used him to spread the theory.

...Johnson’s British spying claim, apparently first made in the RT interview, developed into an international event in a matter of weeks through a bizarre series of events. Napolitano made the claim on Fox News on Tuesday, citing three anonymous sources. The White House then repeated the accusation on Thursday, with White House press Secretary Sean Spicer reading verbatim from the Fox interview.

In an unusual move for the tight-lipped British intelligence community, the GCHQ released a statement denying the charge. The White House said it would not repeat the claim, and reports indicated Spicer had apologized.
“I’m not a Trump supporter,” he said. “I’m more anti-Hillary than pro-Trump. I’m not part of the Trump team. I’m not trying to get a job with the Trump administration. I’m not on some Trump advisory panel.”...

“I’m not a nut,” Johnson said. “I call things as I see it. I don’t pander to any one particular political position.”

You believe him? (Eye roll)

This guy has a pretty good analysis of the attack on the Russki airbase in Crimea:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHqy70b1nOU

So... The US denies giving the Ukies ATACMS, and the Ukies do their part by claiming a special forces op (clearly impossible when added to the other recent long range attacks — No Ukies captured or killed? - righto...)

The Russians may know, but lie too, for their own purposes.

Probably the US has provided a limited supply with a promise of contimued supply so long as Ukraine doesn’t use them to hit Russia itself. The Ukies agree to mislead as to how they make the hits, while Jakie and other US officials do what they do best: Lie.
