Another $1B

President Joe Biden’s administration is prepared to send Ukraine a $1 billion weapons package as early as Monday, according to a Reuters report.

(snip)

The $1 billion weapons package would come just days after the Pentagon announced it would send Ukraine arms and equipment from the U.S. Department of Defense inventory worth up to $550 million.

“The United States continues to stand with Allies and partners from more than 50 countries in providing vital security assistance to support Ukraine’s defense of its sovereignty and territorial integrity against Russia’s aggression,” a State Department press release said.

This like olive oil business in the Godfather and the car wash on Breaking Bad. This aid is nothing but part of a money laundering operation.

Waste of our money...

We can reduce the national debt by selling directly to the international arms dealers

Right. It is misleading to say that Biden will give $1 billion to Ukraine. The United States is a debtor nation. So it is more accurate to say that Biden will borrow $1 billion, then give it to Ukraine. This is financial insanity on a galactic scale.

And nobody in power except Rand Paul cares about this. Even Trump brushed it off when he was president.

.
Biden has declared an emergency - and he doesn’t need approval from Congress:

“The new package would be funded under the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), in which the president can authorize the transfer of articles and services from U.S. stocks without congressional approval in response to an emergency.”

Effectively the United States is in a shooting war with Russia using a proxy army which we are outfitting. Our heavy sanctions against Russia are also tactics of war.

There will be consequences.

If they keep it up, maybe they can contribute to climate change with a nuclear exchange and still blame it on fossil fuels

The description is a transfer of existing stocks of bombardment missiles and surplus (obsolete) vehicles. Thats M113’s for heavens sake, Vietnam era stuff.

The US has enough of these surplus military stocks to fight the old Soviet Union or the figurative “land war in Asia”.

What actual use does the US have for all this? To invade Canada?
