Why is free republic allowing these gossip/TMZ posts?

Many freepers have been following the news about Disney because the company has taken a kid-friendly family franchise and turned it into a woke indoctrination center to sexualize kids. They entered politics by trying to influence the legislature to continue to allow pornographic lessons in the schools, and DeSantis used his enormous political aptitude to stop them. And many here are watching DeSantis as future presidential material.
So this particular story shows how DeSantis, having ended Disney's favored status and making them rely on local authorities when there is trouble instead of their private park police, has frustrated Disney from covering up bad behavior in their park. It's a warning to families what could happen if your continue to pour money into DisneyWorld, expecting a wholesome family vacation.

The world has changed a lot in the last few years and FR has
also. It no longer is the go to site for news but now it is
the chit/chat site for most everything but what it started out
as being. Have a good evening.
Free Republic allows for the posting of threads on many different subjects. If they don’t interest you, move on.
That’s what I do and it’s worked well for the past 21+ years.
Disney is a crap operation. Prolly will get progressively worse.

Yep, I am. My job just ended, but I’m looking, and my company is actually looking to see if they can pick me back up.
I could have sworn the enabling legislation to get rid of Reedy Creek allowed the district to exist until mid-2023, so I’m not sure why a sheriff was involved. It’s always possible that outside po-po were always an option.
