Since Nixon, official US policy has been that Taiwan belongs to Red China.
It was the price he paid for the opening of China.
Aside from politicians like Nixon whose legacy is highly questionable IMO, I’m not sure what is the just and true status of Taiwan.
I always thought they had a right to be independent from the ruthless and deadly Chinese Communist Government and Regime.
