We were taught to never draw your weapon unless you planned to use it, and if you used it, you better know where those bullets were going to end up.

The library that I mentioned in post #34 is in a bad neighborhood, in a bad city. I sometimes go there, but never after dark. But it just happens to be located high up on a hill. Few bums care to make the climb. But I guess the moms don’t mind the drive.

I'm OK with spending local tax money on kid friendly libraries. But if you can't control the type of people who come and go, then they aren't really kid friendly, are they?

What’s not surprising is a cop at the ANACOSTIA library. The surprising thing is that there is a library there at all.
Since this was a baton training session, and the shooter is an experienced cop, I’d have to think that he was teaching her how to disarm a gun threat with a baton and forgot to unload his pistol.
Or she suddenly went ape-s**t with the baton, and he had to defend himself, but that seems less likely.
