“Stupid is as stupid does.”
Nobody in the U.S wants it. Tesla is ahead of the curve.
Why not?
Perhaps who ever sent them to Germany and Taiwan knew what they were doing. These two ditzy broads didn’t have a geopolitical clue and had zero idea of the incredible risks they’ve been running. Some PR hack told them to go and off they went. They are the walking, slurring, whoring, doofus embodiment of 50 years of gender/race reverse discrimination.
10% for the big guy.

Tesla has been testing a battery that has been ruuning continuous cycles for almost five years with only a 5% loss in capacity.
Good questions. I'd love to have standard sized rechargable batteries that you wouldn't have to worry about developing 'memory' in.They wouldn't even have to last quite as long as modern batteries if I knew they'd last forver.
When I was a teenager, I had a walkman that played cassettes. I used Radio Shack rechargable AA batteries in it. They were just NiCd, but I figured out how to get the most from them. I had 2 sets of batteries that I used pretty much daily. One set would be charging when I used the other. I made sure to deep cycle them regularly, and they were remarkable. Pretty much lasted all the way through high school on just those 2 sets.
I know a lot of folks didn't get the kind of performance I did, but I was pretty religious about taking care of them. Wish all my stuff worked as well. I'd kill for a UPS that I didn't have to worry about dying after just a few years.
Regarding Yang not being able to find domestic investors, I'm kinda skeptical. If they have anything near the power density of similar batteries, there are all kinds of applications for a battery tech that doesn't develop dentrites. In addition to lasting longer, they'd be safer. It's the dentrites that often cause these batteries to short internally and dump their load catastrophically.
Exactly. I'd be willing to pay a premium for a UPS system for my electronics that I didn't have to replace every 5 years.
Me too. I just replaced one that was 8 years old. I'll be replacing the batteries in the old one to get more life out of it if it's cost effective to do so right now.
I've been saying for a while now that the EV's are not ready for prime time until they have a 500k mile/25 year battery life and can recharge up to 80% in under 10 minutes. Also, everyday we hear about another EV burning up, so the new tech, whenever it gets here, must be safe. I wouldn't put an EV in a garage right now. Especially not one connected to the house.
Just pulled the battery in the UPS. Easy to do. New batteries on Amazon start at $21 so definitely cheaper to replace the battery.
Potentially billions.

I am going to do this next time. I will buy UPS replacement battery from a seller with good ratings
