In spite of Mr Jones aleging a real event was a scam or a hoax, and in spite of deaths that occurreed in the event, since when do mere feelings about those things constitute “defeamation”.
I’ll put it this way. If ABC/CBS/CNBC/CNN/MSNBC/NBC/NPR first reported, from some anonymous sources, that the Sandy Hook event was a hoax or scam (no matter if they later retracted that reporting), would we now be seeing a defamation suit against ABC/CBS/CNBC/CNN/MSNBC/NBC/NPR? I don’t think so.

Jones lost the defamation case because he refused to cooperate, he just ignored depositions, he refused to turn over evidence, he never cooperated in the cases in Texas and Connecticut and had default judgements entered against him in both states because he just wasn’t there for proceedings.
Jones isn’t a hero. He’s a money grubbing con man.
And yeah, ABC/CBS.etc would probably be sued if they said the parents were part of the scam, meaning they were lying about having lost children.
Exactly. The legal system is full of idiots, liars, and corruption... and that's just the Judges.
He publicly stated that the parents were active participants in a hoax about the murder of their children. These people were private citizens not public figures… that’s defamation folks.
Pure and simple. You tell lies that you know to be lies about someone, that’s defamation.
They have his text messages. They know he knew he was lying and did it anyway.
When you claim grieving parents are crisis actors
The man is a a psychotic jerk. Good for the parents
