It seems to me that denying text messages or emails exist when they do, is a really poor strategy. Way too much chance they can be discovered.
Hard to tell from this snippet, but in one area it says “the emails didn’t exist” - which when I first read it I took it to mean “I never sent any emails about it”.
But later it says that he searched for them and couldn’t find them. So he probably thought they were deleted, but somebody with better skills was able to find/recover them.
Need the exact wording. He may not have had the items of interest in his control. He could have already deleted them from his devices.
