“You canβt have final tallies within two hours after polls close unless you use electronic voting machines instead of paper ballots.
Processing paper ballots takes considerably more time.”
Ask France. 100% paper ballots. Final results are in by 8 pm. 65 million people.
Before machines, the USA used all paper ballots. We knew on election night all the winners.
In parts of Missouri ten years back, we used paper ballots that were fed into a reader/ballot box combo. Each precinct could take each box/reader and submit the totals at the close of voting. Each box was sealed and was available with the original ballots locked inside for a recount if needed. Elections were at 99% in three hours in almost all situations.
I remember those years too-All paper ballots, and results on election night.
I used the above example (paper ballots exc.. ) to explain to a young leftist relative that truthful elections are possible, (we used to have them), and why they are absolutely necessary for the well being of our country.
I said that what we have now, appears to be a situation where a crime syndicate rigs, or attempts to rig, the elections on both sides ( the numbers in ALL states, Red and Blue were off for 2020) in order to get their people in office, who will continue dirty deals to benefit themselves.
This results in misery for everyone else, stuck having to deal with their ππ¨π© policies exc...
This has to be remedied. Election integrity must be restored.
It's just insane that this has to even be explained to people.
We have 5 times their population and our polls are open until 8 pm. Are you suggesting that we start reporting results before the polls close?
Oh, and only one time zone to our six.
Also, they use candidate cards, not multiple office/issue ballots, so hand tallies are simple and obvious.
And their elections are federally controlled... how do we know they don’t cheat? Be pretty easy to swap a stack of one candidate cards for another.
