After a tight race, incumbent Representative Peter Meijer lost to Trump loyalist John Gibbs in Michigan’s GOP primary contest for the state’s third congressional district on Tuesday.
Gibbs garnered 53 percent of the vote to Meijer’s 47 percent as of around midnight on Wednesday, ABC News reported.

Just about every one that was blessed by A Trump endorsment won their race. and at least two of three that voted to impeach Trump wentdown to healthy defeats!!!

This is formerly the old Jerry Ford district and was hugely republican. It has now added downtown GR and Muskegon - it ain’t the same. Additionally the “old” part has added democrats. A Republican mainstay of the entire country is no longer Republican. And yes, there are some pundits that say GR and this district were critical for Trump back in 2016 - if you want to know how Betsy DeVos became part of the Trump cabinet - there is a big clue.
The last democrat we elected in WA-4 was that idiot governor we now have, Jay Inslee.
Even after that, the republican has always turned out to be a half-assed RINO.
I’m left with little to no choice. Vote for Newhouse or not vote and let a democrat reclaim the house seat.
I personally think that Smiley should have run against Newhouse instead of Murray for Senate since Congressional Reps are local races and she had a lot more name recognition then Culp and the also rans.

Even the 80% Latino 34th congressional district in Texas which Dems haven't lost for over a 100 years, which Biden won and which the Dems carried in 2020. they managed to lose in by-elections in June this year

under 202O district lines, the district was narrowly won by Trump. Under the new lines, its now 11-12 points more Democrat.
