Too many illegal aliens living in California, and driving on California streets.
What insurance company in their right mind would want to insure them, or pay for the all of the auto damage/medical expenses of the traffic accidents that they cause?
California is hemorrhaging tax-paying citizens and corporations to other states.
Question? If you are insured with GEICO and have an accident will GEICO take care of your claim? Will body shops do a GEICO claim?
My broker told me that insurance companies are declining to renew tow companys as tow companies, they have to become auto haulers and stop all tow operations.
I’m trying to trace what bs law CA implented that would result in this.
Can we bugs bunny the state and saw it off into its own island?
2. “The company’s actions will make it harder for consumers to buy GEICO policies, particularly those who are computer challenged or prefer to meet an agent in person”, said former California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones in an interview. You know, if you're still computer challenged forty three years after the Apple II showed up and it's not due to an actual disability, not being able to buy insurance from a single company is probably the least of your problems.
They’re not pulling out of the state entirely, they’re just closing the sales offices. Claims and payment are already dealt with online and over the phone *anyway*.
Nail on the head!
I think the first were Uber and Lyft.
No, I’m in Manila!
Just noting that in some ways California is worse off even than here.
hope they close down everywhere, scumbags

Gecko out front should have told you
Will the last businessman out of Commiefornia please bring the flag.
“Gov Employee Insurance Co”
This is what GEICO really stands for.
How can the state of California complain, with Lefties in the Tech industries backing so many bad policy moves by California, and GEICO is merely following their lead - making GEICO a “remote access” company. Isn’t that what California and it’s big big Tech companies want???
