During a pause between scenes, Jerry Doyle (who played Garibaldi) was overheard by Straczynski (the Executive Producer) saying that "the problem will never be solved until we replace the electric chair with electric bleachers." Straczynski felt that that remark perfectly reflected Garibaldi's personality, and included it in the script.
