How does one unlock the steering without a key or removing the lock mechanism?
Modern Kias (and many others) don’t use keys any longer. Just push-button starting.
The same way they've been doing it since the steering wheel lock was introduced. They either remove it they have time, or brute-force it if they don't. It's not a very big pin.
