Part of this Ireland bank trouble is downsizing going on, with smaller towns seeing their banks closed up. You see the same trend in Germany as well.
If your bank did survive...it’s likely operating with fewer than six employees, and service is crap if you asked for things that were normal ten years ago.
This is the world with only electronic currency.
