Yes, you can turn a digital photo into a polaroid and there is an app for that.

Actually, you can do some really cool things with a polaroid. Before it finishes being developed, peel of the paper and scratch it with a pencil and you can push the emulsion around for some really cool affects. neat art. you just better work fast.

Sure they are. Take a high resolution digital picture, apply Photoshop as necessary. Print modified picture. Take Polaroid photo of the fake photo.
