Our exports were minimal until 2016 when an America First attitude arrived. Since then exports of LNG from the USA have grown continually, except for the COVID induced dip in 2020. Selling more LNG is a great way to move money from around the world into the checking accounts of Americans.
"The United States became the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter during the first half of 2022, according to data from CEDIGAZ. Compared with the second half of 2021, U.S. LNG exports increased by 12% in the first half of 2022, averaging 11.2 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). U.S. LNG exports continued to grow for three reasons—increased LNG export capacity, increased international natural gas and LNG prices, and increased global demand, particularly in Europe."
That sounds like winning to me, apparently you don't like that kind of thing.
Our government should be helping our LNG industry to expand instead of what they are doing.
Nice chart!
But about your contentions we here in America should make up for the Russian natural gas deficits.
You DO finally understand and acknowledge there is no way to move any appreciable quantities of LNG to Europe in time for Winter.
The facilities, equipment, and personnel simply do not exist at this time, and they are not going to automagically appear in the next few weeks.
Right? Nod your head “Yes...”
