The LNG facilities to do what you suggest, they don’t exist. They are not going to magically appear in the next month or two.
If you think that is “defeatist” I don’t know what to tell you. It’s a matter of logistics, and the numbers don’t scale. Europe uses a LOT of natural gas.
Neither did any other piece of infrastructure we have now. They all got built. No reason to not take advantage of Russian idiocy and European demand.
Europe may pay some high prices this winter but that opens up a new market for LNG shipped from other sources.
The Europeans will want a diversified supply situation going forward. Do you think it would be better for the USA if we sold LNG from our fields to the Europeans or left that market for other nations?
