You — as so many on these threads who voice the same sentiment — reflexively assume that those of us who want to see Ukraine repel the Russian invasion, and remain an independent and sovereign nation free to pursue its own destiny; and think providing it with the hardware to do that, are all for American boots on the ground or American helmets in the air above Ukraine. We are not. So, the childish admonition “...pick up a gun and go fight in Ukraine” is not only silly, it is ignorant. When America is directly threatened, you will see old codgers such as me come out of the woodwork to defend our hearths and homes. Maybe you will leave that defense to your betters.
