I haven’t seen any crashes at the lake during winter when they land on the ice. Just a few during spring and summer when they land on the water and most of them were wind-related.
Then there was the night a large plane was coming in for landing at Ted Stevens that suddenly pulled up because it was about to slam into another plane that was taking off. You made a clip of that one. Close call but tragedy averted.
Gilligan’s Island. Didn’t watch it that much. Of the shows mentioned by far my favorite was Perry Mason.

“Homo sapiens huh?” LOL!!! I gotta remember that one. That’s a good one and so appropriate.
Generators come in mighty handy when the power goes out. We’ve only used ours twice in the 22 years I’ve been on this farm but we were happy to have it on hand when it was needed.
We hope for rain soon, before wildfires start cranking up. Everything is so crispy-brown these days, it’s unnerving.
It looks like you two covered some ground yesterday.
I imagine it got pretty hot with that clear blue sky. It was mostly cloudy here and it was stifling.
It's funny. I'd have put my bet on landing on ice being the worst hazard, but guess water and wind just don't mix. LOL!
I guess I'll finish this show and head out. I'm tireder than I thought I was. See ya tomorrow!
Yep, dat’s da one! I couldn’t believe I’d seen what I saw and had to go back to watch it again to be sure. Someone WASN’T paying attention until the last moment. I’m glad I told you about it and you were able to capture that segment.
There seem to be high winds more often during summer and that can get dicey for the smaller planes. But I’ve seen some of the big cargo planes rocking in the wind as they come in for landings too.
Right now, the wind is down and the lake looks like glass. The sky is still pretty bright to the north at almost 1 a.m. and the sky’s so clear, the silhouettes of Mt. Denali and Mt. Foraker are clearly visible. A beautiful setting.
If not watching something else, I keep that cam up in another Window, like now, while checking FR or other things. The scenery is so pretty and it’s relaxing .... most of the time. :-)
Sleep well. I hope the temps stay down again tomorrow. I wish ours would GO down.
