It wasn’t flipped over but was tipped enough, it made it crash. No one in chat understands why it crashed where it did because it shouldn’t have been taking off there. The locals will keep their eyes peeled for updates to see if any answers come out.
Two people were seriously injured and the other five got off a little easier. It was fortunate no one was killed.

I did see a float plane flip over a couple of months ago, again on a very windy day. The pilot was taxiing out for takeoff and decided it wouldn’t be a good idea. When he turned around to go back, the wind caught the tail just right and it flipped up and over in slow motion, landing upside down. The pilot and his passenger got out and were sitting on a wing when the rescue boat arrived. They were a little bruised but that was it. Lucky guys!

I saw one plane a few months ago sort of catiwhompered up against the shore and looked like they lost control somehow. They were trying get it back onto the water while I watched. Maybe it was the same one?

I didn’t see that one. The one I saw was out in the water, upside down, and it took a couple of days to get it uprighted so they could get it out of the water. That was an interesting sight to watch.
It was somewhat close to the shore, over by Ted Stevens Airport. It happened last month.

There's nothing better than a good, classic Western. You could watch them all, but Gunsmoke is the gold standard.

That kind of stuff has always amazed me. There are seemingly intelligent people around here also, in a rural area, that have no back-up generators. That’s just insane.

I came to the conclusion, many years ago, after long study, observation, and first hand experience, that there are two separate and distinct species of human beings on the planet, that look exactly alike, and live together without knowing it. The first is HOMO SAPIENS SAPIENS(MAN THINKING THINKING), and the other is HOMO SAPIENS HUH?, and it’s very hard to tell them apart unless you watch what they do, or THEY OPEN THEIR MOUTHS!

That’s why the country is so divided. All people on the left are of the HOMO SAPIENS HUH? species. They’re also the folks that don’t have back-up generators.

Gotta bed down. hope you get some rain soon.
