If such a position is needed (not saying it is) it’s location should be in the HHS or CDC not the Whitehouse.
I am not an advocate for the whole regulatory state, but if you have an executive federal agency with a certain area it’s job is suppose to cover, then why claim that agencies mantle in the Whitehouse.
This nonsense is done so often it makes the case against the continuation of some agencies.
