The Arizona Republican Party formally censured House Speaker Rusty Bowers July 19 as “unfit to serve” the party, less than one month after he testified to the committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
The move came as Bowers is locked in a primary election fight with former state Sen. David Farnsworth for the Republican nomination for the state Senate seat in Legislative District 10 covering part of east Mesa.
Meanwhile, the LD 10 Republican Committee in Mesa censure Mayor John Giles for endorsing an unnamed Democratic candidate in the Aug. 2 primary, calling on local GOP members to "cease recognition" of him as a Republican and to cease supporting him in any future election. Giles could not be reached for comment.

In 50 years of voting I have voted for one democrat for a state office as the republican opponent was such a crook.

Yes, you did what you had to do to remove a corrupt politician from office. That’s what elections are for.
But that’s not the case with these Democrat-endorsing RINO’s.
“Sorry but if you endorse Democrats then you’re not a Republican.”
Actually, I think a Vichy-Republican could and would endorse a Democrat.
However in this case, I think Mesa Mayor John Giles was/is telling the Republican Party, “Adios”.
The letter after the name means jack anymore.
The only reason political parties still exist is to give voters the illusion of choice.
A pol is either loyal to our former republic or to Deep State.
If a candidate is loyal to our former republic, is MAGA, he or she has my vote.
I don’t give a damn what the letter after the name is.
