Really stupid idea. If Russia captures a couple of them then what?

Russia will hold a fake show “trial” like the Jan 6 “committee”, using the same rules, find the American mercenaries guilty, and promptly shoot them.

We have had American (boots, advisors, spooks, whatever you want to call them) on the ground and working there since last year or before. We are just fixing to up the number exponentially.

It is noot their Government that is greedy. 99%+ of that 44 billion that was sent is or will be in the politcican’s , both Republican and Democrat’s secret bank accounts. If the Ukrainians end up with 1/10of a % of the money, they will be doing good. And this arraingment will continue indefinitely. In closing, you can bet your ass United Stated Army Soldiers are firing the weapons sent there. Is just a matter of time before we are in a nuclear with Russia. How long? As long as it takes. The Neo Cons, the George Soros worshipers, the Biden Worshipers, The Globalists will not rest until they start a nuclear war with Russia.

Yes advisors were fine in Vietnam, FDR had men there in the 1940s, Truman sent some in 1950, Eisenhower had several hundred in, but things went wrong when JFK sent 16,000 troops in and cooperated with the killing of Diem.

This is nothing like Viet Nam!

In the old fashion Cold War, "proxy war", there were foreign fighters against each other with super powers supporting the belligerents from the shadows.

In this Ukraine "special military operation" the super power is a belligerent.   Our direct action against Russia would be a MAD event never to recover from.

[Suspect US military advisors are already there manning those sophisticated artillery systems and the targeting equipment. They have been far too effective to be crewed by hastily trained Ukrainians,]

US systems are idiot-proof and automatic. Russian/Ukrainian systems are a pain in the butt, and require serious expertise. That’s why US systems are more effective. Because good help is hard to find, not having to rely on geniuses to operate the machinery is a key part of what makes it superior. Here’s the experience of a Russian pilot with his first American jet fighter, a military version of the T-38 trainer.

https://theaviationgeekclub.com/soviet-pilot-who-test-flew-captured-f-5-against-mig-21-mig-23-explains-why-the-tiger-beat-the-fishbed-flogger-in-every-engagement/

The most able Russian test pilot in the unit, flying the newest Russian fighter of the time, could not beat a pilot flying a cheapo US jet fighter in subsonic dogfights. The US fighter was designated for Third World countries that couldn’t afford anything better. And it was basically a trainer souped up to carry ordnance.

The comparison is between a Javelin and an RPG. You have to be extremely skilled and have balls of steel to destroy a tank with an RPG, because you have to get really close, as in tens of yards away, and you have to hit a specific part dead-on using only your Mk1 eyeball. With a Javelin, you can target it from a mile away, and it will almost always kill the tank.

With the midterms 3.5 months away, this Republican dope illustrates why he is a proud member of the Stupid Party.

And only 5.5 months away from the backstabbing to begin all over again. The Stupid Party will not fail to disappoint.

Most of our aid has been siphoned off and armaments sold on the black market

Major Russian propaganda and BS times 300. Even the Russian troops know that is not so.

I disagree with sending “advisers,” BTW. The Ukrainians have already been trained by the best teachers in the world to do their tasks perfectly and to be instructors themselves. They are also thoroughly motivated to do well with what they have in their fight for their freedoms and existence. Our U.S. forces and other NATO forces have been training Ukrainian soldiers for a long time.

The fear, uncertainty and doubt is coming from the Russians through their foreign legion of disgruntled anti-Americans, neo-Nazis and obsessed narcissists.

I was trained to be an instructor and have seen and experienced what our Army instructors can do.

Like it’s not already American “contractors” (wink wink wink) aka [active duty military until last month] who are operating the HIMAR systems in Ukraine.

I was born at night......but not last night.

It is a fact, within the past fifty years, that we have had active duty service personal in foreign countries in plain clothes and their Military ID cards left behind in the CONUS.   Plausible deniability being what it is.

I have no problem with sending arms and materiel;

By supporting that you are directly supporting sending troops. That's the way this story book reads every time we pull it off the shelf. You and the rest of the neo's around here have unclean hands.

Will probably threaten to hang the Mercenaries (Advisors) until we relent on sanctions and payments and prisoner swaps.

Those members of that ‘bipartisan’ war monger contingent should be the FIRST volunteers, then. Screw this.
