There are 6,166 state legislative seats up for election on November 8, 2022, across 46 states. This page analyzes incumbents defeated in those state legislative races. An incumbent may be defeated at two points in an election cycle: during a primary election or other nominating contest and during a general election.[1]

Twenty-seven states have held state legislative primary elections: eight with a Democratic trifecta, 15 with Republican trifectas, and four with divided governments.

Across those states, 138 incumbents lost to primary challengers, 5.0% of incumbents who filed for re-election.

Across those 27 states:

Thirty Democratic incumbents lost in primaries, 2.5% of the 1,208 Democratic incumbents who filed for re-election.

One hundred eight Republican incumbents lost in primaries, 6.9% of the 1,574 Republican incumbents who filed for re-election.

The total number of incumbents who lost to primary challengers — 138 — is up 73% compared to 2020.

THIS is how we get our country back!

It was RINO-controlled state legislatures who handed the Steal to Joke Biden by refusing to enforce voter ID and turning a blind eye to Democrat cheating. This is also why NOTHING has been done about investigating or prosecuting the Steal.

It won't happen in one election cycle, but the RINO traitors are being purged!

I hope the republican losses are replaced with America First conservatives.

Good news. It will also stiffen the spines of existing office holders.

I hope so. Well Before our primary, I sent an email to every candidate asking what did they actually do to protect our constitutional rights.

Those who were not incumbents almost all answered with things they had done as citizens.

One even came to my house to answer in person.

From the incumbents…crickets. That’s because only two state delegates did anything. One earned my vote for governor. The other was out of my district and is a personal friend. He won his primary for US Congress.

The rest did not earn my vote and many lost.

From your lips to Gods ear...I hope people realize that. Purge them all...

We rolled several incumbents in Northern KY’s primary. All had been on their seats for several years, not much was being done for We The People. So the local conservative orgs posted issues that had been brought to them for years n not acted upon, n We The Voters did out part.
