The message to Trump was simple: We're coming for you.

MR Trump, we can’t find any illegal activity from anyone in your administration. So, why are subpoenaing anyone and everyone, threatening to destroy them financially, until we find some who can make something up that seems plausible enough to charge you with a made up crime. We are gonna keep this up until we can find a judge and jury that will convict you of some ridiculous made up crime.
