Since Nixon didn’t commit any crimes the pardon was moot and political.
Whether Nixon had committed any crimes was immaterial. The media had convinced most of the public that he had committed crimes. He found it prudent to accept the pardon he was offered.
Christopher Wray was an outstandingly bad appointment for the FBI. Once he got the position, he was more interested in playing policy and protecting his fief than pursuing truth or justice.
I'll vote for Trump over any Dem alternative, but I'm not convinced he's figured out a way to make good appointments, let alone give the Deep State the D & C that it so badly needs.
And before anyone slams me, it's not as I could do better myself at cleaning the Augean stables of D.C. Maybe DeSantis is our great hope... maybe it's an unsolvable problem of late empire societies.
Yeah he didn’t want to draw more attention to himself. And you’ll find it is material. Name anyone else that ever got pardoned without first being charged with a crime? Ford by the way had to go to Congress to explain why he pardon him the only reason that he’s considered pardoned is because it was never challenged. there was never a crime there was never anything. Perhaps Ford really didn’t like Nixon and wanted to try to paint him as being guilty of something even though he was never charged with anything. I mean it’s not like he himself broke into the Watergate.
