A woman who said she broke into the Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack and searched the building for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with intent to shoot her "in the friggin' brain" was sentenced Thursday by a district judge to 60 days' imprisonment.
The Justice Department said Dawn Bancroft, 59, was also sentenced to three years' probation, 100 hours of community service and a $500 fine.
The sentencing by district Judge Emmet Sullivan comes nearly a year after Bancroft pleaded guilty in late September to a misdemeanor charge of illegally demonstrating, picketing or parading inside the Capitol, which comes with a maximum penalty of six months in prison.
Bancroft was arrested in Fort Washington, Pa., in late January 2021 after the FBI received a tip and a video showing her at the Capitol among a horde of supporters of then-President Donald Trump who stormed the building Jan. 6 in an attempt to stop the joint sessions of Congress from certifying Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States.
The criminal complaint states the video the FBI received was self-shot by Bancroft and Diana Santos-Smith and showed them exiting the Capitol. During the video, Bancroft admits to having broken into the building and that they were "looking for Nancy to shoot her in the friggin' brain but we didn't find her."

Incredible isn’t it. And she was murdered in full view of the cops that were standing behind her. Well there is no statute of limitations against murder, so he still may face justice down the line
Right.
If she were actually a Trump supporter, she’d never see the light of day again.
All your base are belong to us.
It was an utterance that invokes violence, for sure, but a threat? It’s not a threat, per se. I take it more as an expression of utter exasperation and frustration with political America, at least at the national level. She lacked a filter and shot her mouth off. Those who threaten violence criminally do so in an integrated way, so much as to strike true fear in an intended victim. Ray Epps is much more a threatener of violence than this woman will ever be, but he gets off Scot free. Had she not promulgated or published or uploaded her video to YouTube, or however the Feds got hold of it, not a soul on earth would likely have been able to make a legitimate allegation that she threatened violence toward anybody on Jan Six.
First person ever convicted of wanting to kill someone with an imaginary gun.
Those quilting ladies. Stone cold pdychopaths. 😉
Her statement was pure hyperbole.
Laws do not apply to demons only the conservatives and then a lot of the law is made up by the judge.
Except that’s not what she was “convicted” of.
She was “convicted” of stupidly entering the Capital.
Probably an antifa stooge.
Yeah, I saw that too. Once again, it sucks.
Of course it was. But DAs gotta DA.
Meanwhile the Zeldin assassin goes free on no bail...
Her comments remind me of some people who have foolishly made statements about bombs or terrorists when boarding a plane. Dumb comments worthy of investigation but ultimately her charges should have been dismissed.
