The EU’s newly appointed ambassador to Beijing has argued that it is “essential” that Communist China “rules the world,” and that the bloc would support the “reunification” of the independent island of Taiwan with the mainland.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia, Spain’s former ambassador to Japan, Jorge Toledo Albiñana set out what appears to be the most friendly position towards the Chinese Communist Party from an EU diplomat in years, critically contradicting other statements on the sovereignty of Taiwan.
“The EU does not defend the independence of Taiwan, but the peaceful reunification. We believe that there should be only one China,” Albiñana said.
Given the newly appointed EU ambassador to Beijing also said that the bloc would not accept an invasion of the island by Communist China and would impose similar sanctions to those levied against Russia following the full-scale invasion earlier this year of Ukraine, it is unclear how such a “reunification” could occur given the fact that Taiwan has never been ruled by the CCP and maintains its own democratically elected government, military, currency, written language, and culture.
Albiñana went further saying that it is the EU sees China as a “partner” and that it is “essential and necessary to have China to rule the world,” adding that it will be important to work alongside Beijing on issues such as the Wuhan virus, the “climate crisis,” and the Iranian nuclear weapons programme.

As I see it, that can be taken one of two ways.
One, he wants China to rule the world.
Or two, he wants a one-world government, and China should be part of it.
Either way, it’s a scary comment.

The more powerful the government, the better.

Maybe not China, but Asia has 60% of the population.
So if you believe in democracy, Asia gets most of the vote, and India and China would be the two most influential countries by far.
Luckily, hardly anyone believes in “one man, one vote” democracy.
After reading the article, I think he means #2, that the cooperation of China would be needed in any coalition that aspires to ruling the world.

A lot of people don’t understand WW2 very well. Back then, Hitler needed LABOR, which is why the countries he invaded pretty much came out of the war as they went in (albeit with less or no Jews). Simply wiping societies off the map, say every Italian, could have been done, but wasn’t. He needed them as virtual slaves.
Thanks to the Globalists, the world is different now, as China has all of the people and all of the technology they need, so they’ll at least have the option of wholesale extermination of societies that give them trouble, including the United States (particularly if we prick them with highly armed populace). Same for Europe and anywhere else, if they try getting uppity.
It won’t be a world worth living in, as China is big enough to not need anyone else around.

The worthy ambassador should take a moment to read about the coalition that briefly ruled the Soviet Union right after Lenin’s death. The most ruthless person in that coalition was Stalin.
And the next thing you know, Stalin is ruling on his own. Every other member of the coalition is dead.
I wonder if the ambassador would catch the analogy.
What is even worse is that somebody thought it was a good idea to appoint him.
China knows the weakness of the west—Greed. They can buy off what ever leader, person, etc... they wish and we will sell out—Can’t do that in China—sell out China you and your family die! Same in Russia—sell out Russia get a polium drink and a slow death. Rather than bullet—all China needs is to offer US Citizens a few million dollars and they will take it. We have degenerated to a point we are setting our self’s up for servitude. The upper class doesn’t see themselves as American (Rubes, hick, hillbillies) They are “Citizens of the World” But it will not be the utopian world they imagine when Xi calls all the shots. They too will go to the camps.
So, the EU directly undercuts US national security policy - and US law - unilaterally and there are no repercussions?
