What changed between 2011 and 2021 was Coal went away, and was replaced with less reliable electricity sources.
For every US coal plant the US shut down, China built 2.
My only complaint is your comments are not nearly vehement enough nor directed at the right source.
The EPA and Government are the sources of the trouble that will continue in the energy or electricity generating business until we get our minds right and shut down idiots who think carbon is a pollutant.
Energy suppliers have been not only shutting down plants using the cheapest energy source known to man, but have been razing them to the ground. I contend to the loss of GIGAWATTS of coal generated capacity.
Replaced with nothing that can be considered reliable or cheaper. States that allow themselves to be blackmailed by Federal regulation of the electric grid have only themselves to blame when things go awry as they will continue to do as we shut down what used to provide what constitutes a reliable seven day a week three hundred sixty five days a year reliable electric grid.
God gave us coal, God gave us brains, and by the grace of God we choose to shut down both in the quest for climate control. God has been in control of the climate since the days of Adam and Eve. Man enduring drought, famine, pestilence, in the time since, but never thinking he was able to solve those problems without the intervention of the same God that gave us coal and so called fossil fuels.
...and now the democrats and idiot republicans somehow believe all those centuries of history are somehow different and man is now all powerful and able to save himself by vilifying the very things God gave us to preserve life.
Time to wise up folks. out of control Federal Government is the problem just as Ronald Reagan said it was. Until “We the People” get back in control we are going to continue to flail and flounder in our ignorance. It’s going to take five to ten State Governments to include Governor and Legislature to legally tell Dee Cee where to stuff it and we get back to Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
