I know my mom once told an older sister that her love life with dad was much much better after her total hysterectomy. Her tension from worry over another pregnancy (after 8) was gone.

That sounds like a rationalization.   A woman without ovaries to provide hormones will have no sex drive, becoming a true "female eunuch" in spite of what Germaine Greer wrote in her feminist book.   The cervix can play a large part of sexual stimulation during love making, but is removed in a total hysterectomy.
