The Left Is About to Pay for Their Energy Insanity
RCP ^ | 15 July 2022 | Neil Patel

Most politicians and activists have strong views on every political issue. Those views grow from their fundamental political philosophies and beliefs. The best politicians know how to balance their political ideals with a keen watch on how they affect the lives of everyday Americans -- those who voted them into office. Go too far with your ideological preferences in the face of evidence that it's hurting the American people, and you will not go far in politics. The Democratic Party seems poised to take a beating for forgetting this fundamental maxim when it comes to energy and climate change. They feel so strongly about the issue that many have lost touch with reality. They have entered a sort of make-believe world. The coming election is going to bring them back to reality.

Republicans are not immune to ideological overstepping. Republicans in general believe in the private sector. They believe that free markets offer more benefits for society than government spending and mandates. The theory has proven correct far more than it hasn't, but not always. When a so-called private sector line of business becomes so corrupt, so dominated by Washington political favoritism, and so mismanaged that it's offering worse products and worse prices than government options, then even limited-government free market activists need to take notice. Those who don't will pay a political price. The private student loan industry is a prime example. Created and supported by Republicans, it became so corrupt and so mismanaged that eventually it was impossible to defend. The few who tried paid a political price.

Hopefully. And hopefully we all will not have to pay too dearly.

I’ve been curious to see how the climate change hoax plays out as the cultists are convinced we’re all going to die before another decade passes.

As in the ring leaders of this charade posted dates too close to prevent widespread BS detection from their own supporters.

Dems are gonna make the 2020 steal look lik child’s play. Why? Because they got away with it last time.

I violently disagree, they know exactly what they are doing, it's incrementalism. They move their ball 20 yards and then take a 10 yard loss for a few years which is fine by them - they are 10 yards closer toward their goal of destroying America. Look how far they have been able to advance the ball on the environment, same sex marriage, gender identity, the electoral college, etc.

Very similar to the 100 year plan, the American exception to the Chinese 100 year plan is that the American politicians moving the ball are rewarded handsomely and it is happening on both sides of the aisle.

They are gearing up the 2022 Narrative for that.

Wait'll a few Mules "go missing" on their "rounds".

Garland's dirty Department of Jesters will go ape. We will just have to realize that Garland's jesters are part of the Mules organization, too.

It doesn't matter. People forget the past few decades of failed predictions based on "settled science". The 24/7 news cycle on TV and social media bombards the masses with so much "new" information that most people don't have the mental bandwidth left to recall global cooling predictions of the 1970's, or the 1980's predictions that oceans will dry up in 10 years, or the predictions two decades ago that the north pole will be ice free in 5 years, etc.

I fear that today's failed predictions will be just as easily forgotten by the masses.

Especially with a little helping hand from their partners in the government to whom they are generous. It's called crony capitalism.

Republicans do, RINOs don’t. RINOs sold everyone out and are in up to their ears in the GND (Green New Deal). As long as they are making money and brining pork back home they will protect the source.
