Exclusive — Blake Masters: Trump Endorsement Has ‘Been Like Rocket Fuel for this Campaign’

Blake Masters, Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Arizona, said that former President Donald Trump’s recent endorsement has “been like rocket fuel for this campaign” during an appearance on Breitbart News Saturday.

Masters, who maintains a double-digit lead over his Republican challengers, hopes to secure the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate on August 2.

LISTEN:

Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle opened the interview by asking Masters about the impact Trump’s endorsement has made on his campaign.

Masters said the Trump endorsement has “been like rocket fuel for this campaign.”

“I think President Trump endorsed me in early June. So it’s been about six weeks, but But ever since early June with that endorsement, you know, and of course, we’ve been spreading the word about it. It’s been like rocket fuel for this campaign,” Masters said.

Masters noted that Trump’s scheduled appearance in Arizona was postponed by one week and offered his prayers for the Trump family in light of Ivana Trump’s recent death.

“So I’d ask everybody to continue to pray for the Trump family. As they as they mourn the loss of Ivana, that was truly terrible news. But, but so we’re going to have a rally in a week, you know, it’s going to be next Friday, in Prescott Valley, Arizona.”

Masters said that Trump rallies are “less traditional political events” and “more like a rock concert.”

Boyle emphasized the importance of Arizona’s U.S. Senate race, with the current Senate being evenly split 50-50.

Masters said his race is the “most important Senate race this cycle.”

“You used to be able to live on one single income decades ago. And, you know, maybe it’s a complicated story, what happened – globalization, decades of inflation, whatever, but [you] can’t really do it anymore,” Masters said. “And that seems like a problem, seems like maybe it’s a hard problem to solve. But man, you can’t solve it if you don’t identify it.”

“I think the family, the nuclear family, it’s the fundamental bedrock institution in the United States, and we should be gearing for an economy that actually makes it easier for young people to get together and have kids and those kids’ economy where people are prosperous enough,” Masters concluded.

Whereas, democrat rallies are less like a rock concert
and more like Nuremberg rallies but with no people
and even less enthusiasm.

Single income families may be a bridge too far. Perhaps one and a half. The half would be a McJob. The husband would have to work 50+ hours. We need 3-kid families out there to keep it going. Support would have to come from cutting off those who don’t try-no excuses. Grandparents need to help out. All the help would go unrecognized, leaving the left to make up new problems that just have to be addressed.

One cutback: Eliminate the mortgage deduction on 2nd homes. Limit the 1st one to $250k and watch the prices go down. Immigration COSTS? Don’t get me started.

Really good ads running in Phoenix against the AstroNut.
Correctly stating Kelly just does what he is told by Biden.

Kelly’s ads are laughable. He’s trying to make us forget he rubber stamped Biden’s agenda.

Even back in the 50’s many upper middle class families with a single income had second homes.

In Arizona, they were in the White Mountains around Show Low.

In California, it was Tahoe and Big Bear. Or Newport Beach if you lived in the hills above LA.

Tt wasn’t just tax policy that changed that.

What changed was the addition of the second income in the ‘70s when women came into the workforce in strength. Now you had two incomes bidding for the same homes, and places that sold for 25K in 1976 went for 45-55K by 1979. That got somewhat clobbered by Volcker ratcheting up the interest rates between ‘79-’84 but average homes in Phoenix by then sold for $80K. In California, it was over $100K and headed upward as the middle of the Baby Boom moved into the workforce.

Remember this price inflation had nothing to do with actual material or labor cost: it was really all land value, with too many people chasing too little land. Recall that the ‘70s No Growth Movement had curtailed many development plans. Getting permits in California was next to impossible (road sign: why is it easier to get welfare then a building permit?).

Eventually this inflation drags up labor and material costs, but there is a time lag. So many people get locked out of the market in high value places.

Then add in mass immigration: California’s population doubled since 1970, and Arizona went up by 300% since then.

Arizona actually had open space to accommodate growth. California had to go vertical. There’s actually lots of land North of SF but the LA basin is saturated and the Central Valley has a choice...keep farmland or become LA.

Interest on ANY credit used to be deductible: remember? The principle is no double taxation, since someone else is paying income tax on that interest. ALL interest should be deductible.

The real reason you need two incomes now izcuz...there are two incomes in every family. Change THAT back, and the prices will have to readjust...or not sell at all.

We could also go back to the point that real wages have dropped dramatically in the last 45 years, but that’s another, longer topic.

I lived the whole damn thing. Only wish I had bought something in ‘75 and just worked on paying that off. Never woulda had to get a high powered degree or professional job.

If I was still living in Arizona, I’d vote for a chimpanzee if one ran against that obnoxious ass, Kelly.

There are some good people in the Arizona Senate Race. There is a guy, General Mick Maguire who is the most upstanding man I have ever met. In a perfect word he would win, hands down. I’d be happy with Masters and even Lamon.

You learn to go without. Because my job is at home, we get by on one car. Before we got by on two cars that I loved, but others would classify as beaters. Fewer and cheaper vacations, etc.

Very good. I don’t think women will stay at home. Plus we’re addicted to more material things. I don’t remember taking any vacations while growing up. A higher standard of living is a siren call.

Then there’s the charter schools. Parents should not have to pay for 2 schools when they’re using only one. I’ll enjoy watching that battle.

Will China overtake us if we collectively volunteer to go poor? We’d need unwritten guarantees whenever the economy turns suddenly. That’s where the government gets called on and makes the problem worse. Workmen’s comp fraud. Then there’s unemployment insurance-a paid vacation. SSI? Broke soon. When and if we become the majority we’ll have to strike while the iron is hot. Ethanol subsidies brought food riots in South America. We’re way out of whack.

Home schooling moms do. So do women with large (6+) children. More women than you might think would like to stay home, but the man wants her to make money. Yes, more material goods are a siren call.

Here in Arizona we have just expanded the ESA program to include people making more money, and private and parochial schools. I have never seen a state with so many educational options. Charter schools of every kind are everywhere.

*Yes, more material goods are a siren call.*

I once lived in a cheap apartment. Neighbor next door had 2 daughters,8-9 years old. On a $5 Friday(Safeway-buy one get one free) I brought them small packet of free blueberries. ‘This is the free one’. Then I gave them a chicken. ‘This is not free’. You have to cook it and invite me over. They ate it up more ways than one. I’m sure the mama made soup with the bones.
