On the final day of the Idaho Republican Convention being hosted in Twin Falls, Rep. Dorothy Moon was elected as the Chair of the state's Republican party unseating current chairman Tom Luna.
Rep. Moon ran for the state's party chair after an unsuccessful run for Secretary of State against Phil McGrane. Rep. Moon did not seek re-election in the legislature to run in the Idaho Republican primary.
Rep. Moon thanked Tom Luna for his service to the party and Idaho.
"I promised my fellow Republicans that I will lead our party with civility and conviction. That is also my promise to our fellow citizens throughout Idaho who are not currently members of the party of Lincoln," said Rep. Moon in a Facebook post.
"In serving the greater good with decency and with real ideas for how to make life better for all who call Idaho home, I hope our party will show those who’ve yet to cast a vote for a Republican what it is we believe and why the Grand Old Party is the natural home of all who love liberty and this great state," said Rep. Moon.
Take Back Idaho, a political action committee condemned her election in a press release:
"Dorothy Moon’s election to Idaho GOP leadership is absolutely disturbing. Moon’s dangerous gallery of associations— including militant Ammon Bundy, militia leader Eric Parker, convicted rapist Aaron von Ehlinger, and white nationalists like Wendy Rogers—should be disqualifying for state party leadership. But, fresh from their rightful rejection by Idaho voters just eight weeks ago, Moon and her powerful cronies are doing what they do best: changing the rules, courting extremists, and demanding allegiance to their dark vision for Idaho.
Rep. Moon endorsed Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin against Gov. Brad Little in the Idaho Republican primary race.

Idaho did the same yesterday.
And the appropriate people in Idaho are upset.

Excellent. That’s how we’ll overthrow the RINO establishment. Root and Branch. At the local and state and national level. Local county organizations, state organizations etc.
At the same time, trophy hunt for prominent national RINOs like the 10. Like Murkowski, etc.
The RINOs are enemy #1 and must be driven out. It will take at least a couple more election cycles to really root many of them out.
Very encouraging!
Per the link you posted:
“The secret recipe for this con job is simple. Run as a Republican. Claim you’re conservative. Vote for some pro-life and pro-Second Amendment legislation, and criticize the most leftist national Democrat you can find. Vote for bigger and bigger government at the expense of families, churches, and charities. Collect campaign donations from leftist organizations, companies, and political action committees. Get re-elected. “
They are coming for cars, coal, cows and the list goes on claiming they are saving the earth from destruction.
Guys like Tom Luna don’t want to stop that dead in its tracks like it needs to be.
Very much so Prime examples Paul Ryan, John McCain.
Run right, vote left.
Is she the one pushing to decertify the 2020 election?
Luna is the guy who sued the Bonneville county Republican party because it endorsed people the Establishment wing of the party didn’t like (for example, McGeachim, who challenged Governor Little).
So it’s good this guy’s been ousted.
I’m May, 19 incumbents were defeated. See below story.
“Is she the one pushing to decertify the 2020 election?”
She’s among them yes.
“...Take Back Idaho, a political action committee ...”
Funded by George Soros, no doubt. Yes, pain is coming for the coup plotters in November. Their only chance is to engage in a nuclear war with Russia and China. Will they do it? Stay tuned.
This is a good development.
As an aside, I thought it was interesting that someone named “Moon” replaced someone named “Luna.”
I don’t know anything about Moon, but I have a visceral distrust of anyone who uses the term “for the greater good” in almost any context.
You can always tell by the level of hysteria in the left’s reaction when a political change is a good thing or not.
This sounds like a real,win.

You may have heard recently that there’s a political action committee that has formed with the express purpose to “Take Back Idaho.” But what exactly are they taking it back from?
Allow me to tell you: They want to take Idaho back to a time when freedom wasn’t of importance to state lawmakers. They want to take you back to when special interests got their way with few questions asked.
The secret recipe for this con job is simple.
This has happened in Idaho for years without most constituents realizing they’d been had. To some degree, it’s still happening. But the jig is up, thanks to the research work done at the Idaho Freedom Foundation.
Good news, but too late for me. I left the Republican Party in 2016 to join the Constitution Party due to all the RINOs we had in office at the time. I discovered long before that contacting my representatives at the Federal level was useless, but have actually heard back good words from our districts state level reps.
Matter of fact today is the anniversary when I first swore to protect and defend the document in 1975. Oath still has not expired.
Article should have read “Moon Eclipses Luna.”
Conviction is fine but screw the civility.
“Nice” Republicans always turn into road kill by the time the left is done with them.
Until or if we ever have a parliamentary form of govt voting for a third party, constitution or libertarian only benefits the Democrat Party. We Have to work and continue to work at all levels, especially the grassroots, to control the Republican Party. Change starts at the local level. Build the organization, elect to the next level until there is enough of a groundswell to dominate top positions.
Libertarian, Constitution and other parties are funded primarily by left leaning donors and front organizations if the left believes they can siphon enough votes to help them win an election.
Intentions are good but results are often counterproductive.
