Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered Russian military units operating in all areas of Ukraine to step up their operations in order to prevent strikes on eastern Ukraine and other territories controlled by Russia, the ministry said in a statement on its website on Saturday.

It said Shoigu "gave the necessary instructions to further increase the actions of groups in all operational areas in order to exclude the possibility of the Kyiv regime launching massive rocket and artillery strikes on civilian infrastructure and residents of settlements in Donbas and other regions". Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered Russian military units operating in all areas of Ukraine to step up their operations [..]

Specifically, he said: "And don't so many of you die like you have been! It's a really bad visual!"

Sounds like instead of stopping at the Donbass, they are going to push forward and secure enough space such that Ukes cannot bombard the Donbass anymore?

YouTuber Mercouris has what appears to be fairly good and so far accurate commentary on the war.

2 days ago he said they are entering possibly the most critical stage of the war since the Russian drive on Kiev was stopped. He said the Ukraine’s best army and most fortified regions in the Donbas have been defeated. The only army they have left currently capable of being dangerous is in the south near Kherson, that their last chance is to launch a successful offensive against Russian forces in the South.

Finally if that fails or can’t be mounted Russia will finish grabbing the rest of the Donbas then there will be nothing left to stop them until the Dnieper river. All the land between the Donbas and that river is devoid of natural barriers. That would put Russia right up to Kiev maybe this winter and basically Russia would have over 1/2 the country.

Here it is, almost an hour long.

The Russians are getting slaughtered by the HIMARS MLRS the Ukrainians are using - accurate guided rockets with 45-mile range and the Russians can’t shoot them down. They have been particularly effective against ammunition storage sites and command posts. And more are on the way.

Shoigu’s order to push out is an act of desperation. The Russians simply don’t have the combat power. Actually, they never did.

Taking cold showers in the dark in sunny Germany has made you bloodthirsty.

How does it feel knowing that a third of the money you spend on your electrical bills go straight to Russia? You do know that whenever you drive you are sending $$$ to Russia right?

You are a chump LOL.

I should have said that you send "€€€" to Russia instead of "$$$" when you drive and use petrol. I forgot that is the currency you would use in cold, cold Germany. My bad.

In the Weimar Republic they burned Deutschmarks to keep themselves warm.

Is it a satire? They have hundreds of pieces more capable than HIMARS on fronts.

Sergei Shoigu is a Russian insider joke. He never served a day in the military and wears commemorative medals on his uniform. The RGF and the Naval Infantry ignore his proclamations.

The way it is done: the ZSU uses saturation MLRS rockets (Grads) on the target, the Orcs use up their interceptors on the Grads, and when the batteries run out and have to reload, the HIMARS hit them. Now the Orcs get extra flavor with the just delivered M-270s.

😂😂😂😂 🤮

They have nothing, and they just sacked head of military industrial complex and the head of the Russian Military Space program is also about to be fired, all because they have no answer to western artillery.

Russian equivalent of HIMARS, Soviet-made 220mm BM-27 'Uragan' and 220mm BM-30 'Smerch' do not have precision ammo. Effective range, without specialized ammo, is 22 miles. Ukraine has these systems also. These system were designed of saturation fire, not precision.

And saturation fire can be effective - provided you have limitless ammo.

The point is those systems are out-ranged by the new western systems and can be easily destroyed - without fear of counter-battery fire.

In fact HIMARS without the specialized munition is inferior to Uragan in range and similarly accurate.

There are precision munitions with Uragan but they are seldom used because Russians have more options of precision bombing and conventional ammo is just good for the job.

Now, given that Uragan fires a standard cluster munition weighting 600 pounds with the CEP of 90 meters is it any worse than HIMARS fring precision cluster munition with the CEP of 30 meters?

Take into account that it costs to fire Uragan $600, HIMARS $150,000.

Both systems are going to obliterate the area the size of two football fields. Is the fact that HIMARS hits 60 yards closer to the center of the selected area justify the price? The target is ruined ether way. Fire three Uragans to be sure and bring more damage.

These ‘wonder weapon’ idiocies resemble Hitlerite obsessions.

If the Russian had any in the first place which they do not. And they are still out-ranged.

Please accept your Hero of the Russian Federation award and slink off into the stinky place you crawled out from, dirty RuZZian.
