I’m not sure I understand your post. If you are saying you aren’t sure you wouldn’t be risking your life if you ignored the CDC, here’s an answer (if you aren’t saying that, it never hurts to remind people about the mendacity of our government).

Of course, there is also the long list of CDC lies about everything Covid, e.g. “one and done”, the spike protein stays in your shoulder, no evidence of deaths from the vax, it won’t change your DNA, you won’t get the virus or transmit it, the shots are “vaccines”, masks prevent transmission and are safe, “social distancing” reduces transmission, the Pfizer shot and Comirnaty are the same thing (a federal court has found that they are not). Then there are the lies about testing of the vaxes. Complete fraud: 9 pages of side effects not disclosed. 90% of pregnant women in study miscarried, all cause mortality for the vaxxed was HIGHER, testing protocols were NOT followed, invalidating the trials (see the British Medical Journal and the admission by Pfizer in litigation that it was fraud, but it has no liability because the FDA was in on it.
