One of our 2 main enemies is being demilitarized. RuZZia lost 1/3 of its tanks in 5 months. For a relatively small amount of US taxpayer money.
The USA is the big winner.
Russia was one of our "2 main enemies" only in Pooty's dreams. As you noted above, "[t]he Russian military has been exposed for the overstretched, ill-equipped, and incompetent Soviet throwback it is" - meaning the Ruskies weren't a conventional threat to NATO, and would be even less likely to start throwing nukes at the alliance, since that would mean instant 'game over'. In other words,the US is pissing away $50 billion plus, for absolutely nothing. (Oh, wait, the Bidens are probably getting filthy rich off the kickbacks - anyone involved probably thinks that's a plus! ;>)
