“right before I retired”
Yep, lots of us FRiends in that same boat. I retired five years ago and my wife retired a year ago. We did financial planning for retirement counting on a stable inflationary environment.
Then the government came along and completely ruined all of our diligent planning and saving. We are royally screwed.
Damn them all to hell.
If you have had to go back to work, you are part of the “New Jobs Added” bullshit they put out every month.
More people are having to go back to work just to pay for gas and food. They conveniently leave that part out and the fake media dares not speak of it!
Just don’t be so thirsty and all will be well!

Don’t worry.
They’re building back better donchaknow..
your math is correct. All you have to do is paste the formula I included in my original post into Excel or Libre Office Calc and substitute your numbers. It’ll calc for you automatically.
Excel will probably be banned because math is racist.
About 3 months ago now I noticed my preferred store brand of coffee had shrank from 34-oz to 24-oz, but the price increased a few cents.
I calculated that the 34-oz cost 23-cents per ounce and the 24-oz cost 33-cents per ounce. That is quite an increase.
I have noticed that some items have significant price jumps — 25% to 50% or more, while other items have shown little increase. The white popcorn 2-lb bag increased from $0.98 to $1.09 at Walmart, but actually decreased to $0.95 at another store.
President Retard did that 🤪
