Huh? We went out of our way to kill as many civilians as possible. Nuking and firebombing cities.

Early in WWII we didn’t. Then the Axis powers started moving factories and warehouses into residential areas. It took until 1944 for us to bomb civilians and even then there was a destroying military infrastructure element to it.

When the Japanese refused to surrender we thought we could “horrify” the citizens into pressuring the government for peace by firebombing Tokyo. Didn’t work. If you read the Japanese editorials and communications at that time, they were prepared to sacrifice their entire society.

The way they fought at Okinawa to the last man and sacrificed their civilians, pretty much told us how an invasion of Japan was going to go. The die was cast.

Poor string of excuses for American mass murders you have going on there.
Nobody has the right to drop nuclear weapons on innocent women, children and old folks in any city, just because its the easiest way to win a war.
