I wonder if they’ll go back to court with another round of litigation to argue that they shouldn’t have to pay the interest because the combined sum exceeds the cap on liability awards. Futile, but it would stretch out the process some more, and allow them to keep up the fiction that “the matter is still the subject of active litigation” or some such.

Ohio’s Supreme Court is unreliable, so anything is still possible. Oberlin has long been a malignant growth in the state but has had a lot of support from unlikely places.
