Well, they were, in the middle of an existential struggle for national survival, able to find the time to talk about how they would codify homosexual marriage rights in the Ukraine.
Priorities, priorities.
I would not be surprised if codifying gay marriage is one of the conditions the US puts on Ukraine for getting more American aid and weapons.
I’m guessing America makes ‘em fly the rainbow flag if they want any American help, aid or comfort.
