You could say the same about every modern war. You could say the same about the US Divisions in Normandy, the Hurtgen forest or at the Bulge. But still, they fought.

Everyone drafted in WWII including the Germans.
The WWII American Army consisted of 93% draftees, 60% of our military were draftees, Marines, Navy, Army all drafted.
