I think SCOTUS got this EXTREMELY WRONG!

That signature date is as important, if not MORE important, as the post-mark date!!

If someone casts a mailed ballot on date X/X/X, and then someone attempts to vote in person (with the same name/voter ID) on a different date, then people will be able to see proof of VOTER FRAUD! Not to mention, what if a person was on their death bed, unconscious in surgery, or in a coma and their mail-in ballot was dated during this timeframe?

The importance of the date is not just that it was done before the Federal election date...there is so much more at stake right now and SCOTUS seems to be saying...let it slide! That is WRONG!!

Makes no sense. The 6–3 ruling from the high court affirmed a decision by a three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, which cited the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 in saying that government officials should not deny citizens the right to vote “because of an error or omission” that is “not material in determining whether such individual is qualified under state law to vote.

So why bother to have election rules about anything like ID, your birthdate, date on sealed envelope, next it will be you will have to count late ballots not received in the time frame because it was an error not mailing it in time.
