Local leftist judge tells Supreme Court to go pound sand.
That should be the headline, followed by “new opening at local court. “
This has to do with Minnesota only. And thats exactly what the Supreme Court did... pushed this back to the states.
“Local leftist judge tells Supreme Court to go pound sand.”
Not sure I look at it that way. A lower court can disagree with the higher one when the higher one has some type of jurisdiction. The SC alleviated their jurisdiction when they decided Roe was not constitutional. They dropped the feds out of the game and rightly so.
If the opinion of the lower court had any bearing on the SC, then it might make a difference but any case concerning abortion at this time has no federal jurisdiction and belongs to the states as state rights...medical. If there is an illegal abortion as determined by state courts then the punishment stays there. It is their responsibility now to determine what they feel is legal in their area. And no longer does one state’s law have jurisdiction in another state unless it is determined by the courts through legislation. The buck stops there as long as the SC no longer has a horse in the race and stays that way.

Local leftist judge is NOT telling Supreme Court to go pound sand.
The Supreme Court ruled that the issue was a state issue, and this judge is ruling that abortion is a right under the Minnesota STATE constitution.
