He couldn't be bought off, so he had to go. He is a great argument why all criminal charges should be appealable to a jury, especially contempt of court charges.

From memory, it was about racial profiling. He was ordered to stop profiling Hispanics. Of course, since most of the illegal immigrants he was catching were Hispanic, the judge determined that he had violated a court order. The right to a trial by jury should apply to criminal contempt of court IMHO. No jury in AZ would have convicted him.

Across the nation, we fix things by voting out RINOs and replacing them with MAGA. Here's hoping Mastriano gets elected governor of PA, but he's going to be facing the same thing Trump did in 2020 -- a RINO-controlled state legislature who hates MAGA and would rather see a Democrat win.
